A Grain of Sand Tickets - London

Renad, a young Gazan, is embarking on a perilous journey.

Carrying with her only the fiery spark of her own imagination and the faint echoes of her grandmother’s tales, Renad searches for her family and the mythical Palestinian Phoenix, the ‘Anqaa’.

A Grain of Sand is a one-woman show at the Arcola Theatre that takes an intimate look at the horrors of war through the innocent eyes of a child. Renad's story blends Palestinian folklore with real-life testimonies from children in contemporary Gaza. This is a story of hope, resilience, and the fundamental right of children to be children.
